Mike was recruited to Schweichler Price Mullarkey & Barry in 2004 to help evolve the firm's business model. The vision was that the firm wanted to operate like an investment bank and Mike was to be the architect of this strategy. He has helped implement the strategy, and the effect has been significant in transforming how the entire company approaches search, including 6 years of unprecedented growth.

Mike has executed on over 100 CEO and Vice President search assignments for companies such as Pricelock, Ground Truth, Airvana (AIRV), Isilon Systems (ISLN), Mindjet, ON24 and LSI Corp (LSI). Mike played a leading role in conceptualizing and executing on the company’s strategy to enter the Internet, digital media and consumer product markets. Clients recognize Mike’s intense attention to detail and thoroughness. Candidates listen to him because he can walk through entire industries with them, helping them see the “big picture” while clearly articulating a roadmap to success for his clients.

Prior to joining the firm, Mike was a Senior Associate at Standard & Poors, focusing on M&A transactions in the technology and biotech markets. Clients included Adobe, Dolby, Excite, HP and VeriSign. Mike played a leading role in conceptualizing and executing on the company’s strategy to enter the biotechnology market.

Prior, Mike worked in the Equity Capital Markets group of Solomon Smith Barney in NYC, helping to bring the world’s most promising technology companies into the public markets.

Mike received his B.S. in both Finance and New & Small Business Management from Georgetown University. He co-founded and was President of the Georgetown Irish American Society which in 3 years time grew to become one of the University’s largest student organizations. He also spent time studying advanced finance & management in Australia, as well as language and culture in Spain. When not meeting with clients and candidates, Mike can be found trail running on Mount Tam.
