Kevin Barry MANAGING PARTNER
Kevin Barry joined Schweichler Price Mullarkey & Barry as a Managing Partner in 2004. As a previous
Partner at Pierce & Crow, Kevin brings with him 12 years of retained executive search experience
within the technology sector.
Kevin played a major role in the success and growth of Pierce & Crow, a highly regarded Bay Area
based technology search firm, where he spent close to a decade delivering leading executive talent
to many notable venture backed startups as well as publicly traded companies within a variety of
technology segments. Break out industry leaders such as Check Point Software Technologies, Cerent
(Cisco) and Tivoli (IBM) were all clients of the firm.
With a focus on executing searches for CEOs, GMs and Vice President level management, Kevin’s
practice serves both the early stage, venture backed startup as well as multi-billion dollar, publicly
traded companies. With a dedication to making an impact on game changing companies in the burgeoning
areas of open source, SaaS, internet and clean energy, Kevin has worked with leading investors in
technology such as NEA, Greylock Partners, Benchmark Capital and Kleiner Perkins
Recent IT clients of note have included Imperva, Data Robotics, SpringSource, Hyperic, and Data Domain.
Clean tech clients have included SolFocus (PV concentrators), Soladigm (Electrochromic ‘Smart’
Glass), Mascoma (Cellulosic Ethanol) and Amyris (Biofuels). His ability to consistently execute is
based on discipline, preparation, internal drive and the agility to navigate through complex and
challenging recruiting situations.
Kevin began his career in technology in the early 1990’s in enterprise software sales and
marketing at the DAVID Corporation, an enterprise class provider of Risk Management Software that
served the F500 and government markets.
Born and raised in Silicon Valley, Kevin received a B.A. from Georgetown University and now resides
in Marin County with his wife and two sons. Outside of work and a busy family life, Kevin is an
accomplished and competitive endurance athlete with numerous Ironman triathlon finishes to date
and is continually training for the next challenge ahead.
