Andy Price has been an executive search consultant for 16 years and has completed more than 300 retained executive searches. He spent the first 10 years building management teams for companies in the internet infrastructure business, and the last five years doing the same thing for companies addressing energy infrastructure and clean technology.

Schweichler Associates became "Schweichler Price & Partners " in 2004, and, in 2009, "Schweichler Price Mullarkey & Barry". The firm grew 300% during a blistering technology recession (2001-2004), and solidified itself as a market leader during the financial crisis of 2009. Andy is largely credited with growing Schweichler Price more than 3x then, and now 4x, by spearheading the firm's expansion into growth markets, hiring and developing an "A" team and developing a world-class client base in both public and private companies.

Andy's technology career included several high profile public company CEO searches (LSI, FEI, etc.). He knew he'd reached the top of that industry, and by late 2004 felt he needed a new challenge. California had recalled Governor Davis over, among other things, a failed energy policy. Andy was introduced to Dr. KR Sridhar, CEO of Bloom Energy and a very uniquely talented entrepreneur. As Dr. Sridhar outlined the world energy picture, Andy was fascinated and decided to switch industries. From scratch, Andy built and now leads the firm's Energy and Cleantech practice area. In four years, the firm has completed nearly 100 searches in the field. Clients include Ausra (Solar Thermal), Amyris Biotech (Biofuels, Chemicals), Bloom Energy (Energy Storage/Distributed Generation), Coskata (Waste to Energy), Genomatica (Biochem), Great Point Energy (Coal to Gas), Novatorque (Electric Motors), Powergenix (Batteries) and SunPower (Solar P.V.), among others. The firm now has most of the major clean tech venture firms, several well known private equity firms, and a couple of key public companies as clients. The list continues to grow as people find out how uniquely the firm operates in this vast, global industry.

Andy's success is driven by a combination of factors. He has a strong personal and professional network that spans both coasts and crosses everything from fossil energy to renewables to I/T, Internet and semiconductor. He is known for his tremendous energy and drive, deep relationships with clients, speed of movement, unwavering intensity, and dedication to quality. He really cares about making a positive impact and working with "A" companies and teams.

Andy earned a B.S. from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and spends his free time with his very patient wife and two adorable daughters. Hobbies include international travel, racing road bikes, riding his downhill mountain bike far past his ability, water skiing, scuba diving, and triathlons. He lives in Northern California.
